Robert Hannaford's SALA exhibition

As the inaugural recipient of the AME Bale Award (1969) Hannaford asked a homeless man, Hans Kreffel, to sit for him.  This exhibition documents the extraordinary process of a young, 25 year old artist, teaching himself the skills of his craft by intense, direct and repeated observation.  Amongst all of these drawings from 50 years ago is placed his most recent selected entry in the Archibald prize, 2018.

Alison Mitchell's SALA exhibition this year is

'small quiet'

An array of small paintings of quiet times.  Small moments of quiet reflection. Inside. Outside. All directly from life
